Since the dawn of time, God has had chosen people through whom He worked His purposes in the world. The godly line, for example, can be traced from Seth to Christ in the Old Testament. In particular, God created a nation from the loins of Abraham constituting His chosen people in that dispensation. They were separated from all other nations of the earth, selected by God for service in His plan to redeem the fallen human race. When Moses gave them the law to govern them in Exodus through Deuteronomy, he used the word “holy” more than 200 times. They were not, however, always a holy people. They lost their identity as the people of God. In the same way, the church constitutes the people of God today and we are called to be a holy people. Is the church maintaining its peculiarity and identity today? In this broadcast of Let the Bible Speak, we learn how the church is to be A People For God’s Possession.
