God told the prophet Hosea to marry a woman who would eventually betray and abandon him for the arms of another. He later led him to go find her in a slave market and pay the price to bring her home and once again marry her. God then used this strange scenario, to teach Israel a powerful lesson. It served as a means of prophesying the eventual fortunes of true Israel and His Messianic purposes for and through them. By extension, it provides a portrait of God Himself and His immeasurable love for His people. In this broadcast of Let the Bible Speak, we see that God loves the unlovable.
