The bible does not contain contradictions but it does contain paradoxes. A logical contradiction contains two statements that cannot be reconciled. A paradox, on the other hand, appears contradictory but the proper interpretation of the opposing statements contained therein actually presents a deep and thrilling truth. Jesus spoke in paradoxes throughout His ministry and when we look at the cross our mind is immediately presented with paradoxical propositions. In this broadcast of Let the Bible Speak, we examine the paradoxes of Calvary.
