Baptism is described and explained the New Testament scriptures as a burial in water at which point the believing person begins a new relationship with Christ. In Acts 2:38, Peter commanded all to “repent and be baptized…in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…” What about those whose baptism differs from that shown in the scriptures, either in purpose or design?
