The Jewish Passover pointed forward to the Lamb of God who came to take away the sin of the world. The Lord’s Supper is a weekly, perpetual reminder to Christians of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for their sins. Though the old and new ordinances belong to two separate economies, there are critical principles that we can learn about the latter from the former. In part 2 of our study on Let the Bible Speak, we look at the respective patterns for the Passover and the Lord’s Supper and glean important lessons for the proper observance of this central ordinance given to the church.
